✨ Life Update — We’re Staying Home! ❤️🏡

We have some really exciting and happy news to share! 🎉

After all the delays with getting our house listed, Dan and I finally sat down and had one of those completely honest, heart-to-heart conversations about what we really wanted. And somewhere along the way, the answer became crystal clear…Wilbur is HOME. ❤️

So, it’s official — we’re staying! 🏡💕 And we are genuinely so happy and at peace with our decision. Sometimes life has a funny way of taking you in circles just to help you realize that what you were looking for was already right where you were. If life ever takes us in a different direction someday, we’ll cross that bridge when we get there. But for now, we’re excited to plant our feet right here and enjoy this next chapter! 🌻

So there you have it — we’re staying in Wilbur, I’m heading to Florida, Molly and Luna will be coming home.  Betty White will be finding a new home, and a whole new chapter is beginning! 🏡✈️🐾🚗

Life certainly doesn’t always go according to plan…but sometimes the unexpected change in plans turns out to be exactly what your heart needed. ❤️

Happy Father’s Day to the most resilient, loving dad I know. Even though your daughters Danielle and Emma are being kept from you right now in violation of what is right and legal, nothing can ever erase the fact that you are their father. Your love for them doesn't carry a distance, and your fight for them proves how deeply you care. I see the pain you carry, but I also see your incredible strength and unwavering hope. Your daughters are so lucky to have a dad who loves them this fiercely, and I know that truth and love will win in the end. I am so proud to stand by your side.

Moving is No Easy Process

I confess that I have cried and prayed, feeling like I am at my breaking point, but I remain steadfast, empowered by God's boundless grace. Some days are more trying and physically painful than others, yet I stand firm, sustained by God's unwavering strength. We Are Making Good Progress, Betty White is Half Way Full

Today was a blast!! We posted a local ad for help loading our moving truck and got slammed with about 30 responses - guess we're more popular than we thought. But one response really caught our eye - Jessica, a totally awesome mom, offered up her teenage boys to lend a hand. Dan and I love helping young folks develop a strong work ethic, and these guys are already total pros. We can't wait to have them back for round two in a few weeks. Now, it's time for some epic pizza, garlic bread, and an ice cold Yoo Hoo!!  Hopefully, load #1 will be Florida bound in Betty White 🚚 with our FurDaughters Molly Moo Moo and Luna Lovegood in the next week or two.  Thanks for following along.

Bowen Move Update

We have been receiving numerous phone calls and private messages inquiring about the status of our relocation to Florida. I am happy to confirm that we are still moving forward with our plans. The reason for canceling this weekend's moving sale is that we have been overwhelmed with home preparation projects, leaving us insufficient time to price the numerous items for sale. Additionally, we continue to uncover more items we wish to sell. I expect that we will be ready to host the moving sale in the next few Saturdays. Our goal is to have the house prepared, packed, and listed for sale by May 1, 2026. Further details will be provided as they become available. We appreciate the immense love, prayers, and support we have received from so many of you.

Today, we starting to go through the main house. So far, 1 bag + 1 box of donations. 3 BIG bags of trash.  

We are Super Motivated!! I'm about to sit down and start pricing items to go out in the moving sale. I'm not feeling 100%...so my goal is going to try and keep a slow and steady pace.

Big "Bowen Family" Announcement

After careful consideration, reflection, and prayer, we have made the decision to relocate in 2026, which we believe is in the best interest of our family, including our pets. Although we have enjoyed our time in Wilbur, we feel a strong desire to be closer to my Aunt Suzy, Uncle Sonny, Aunt Kathy, Cousin Janet, Cousin Donna, Cousin Shawn, Cousin Jeffrey, Cousin-in-Law Lisa, Cousin Terri, and numerous lifelong friends, as well as my Sister Amanda, my soon-to-be Brother-in-Law Austin, and a day's drive from many other friends and family members along the Eastern Seaboard. While I have formed lasting connections with my friends and Bible Study family in Wilbur, we feel it is essential to return to the East Coast. 

I would like to extend my love and gratitude to Dan for providing me with the time and opportunity to pray, research, and consult with family and friends, ultimately enabling me to make an informed decision. It has been a difficult decision, given the strong bonds I have formed with many great ladies in Wilbur. Our intention is to complete some minor electrical and plumbing work, conduct a paid property appraisal, host a large moving sale, sell items on Facebook, donate to the Wilbur Senior Center, and then list our 2-bedroom, 1-bath residence which includes a separate 2-bedroom, 1-bath mother-in-law house, for sale in the Spring of 2026.

Our future home buying search is either Florida or Tennessee. We will have to wait to decide based on the housing market as we get closer to selling the house here in Wilbur, WA. Our goal is to make the best informed move for us.

Free Annual Community Christmas Dinner at the Creston Christian Church in Creston, WA

 

Thank you to the Creston Christian Church for such a yummy early Christmas Dinner.  The food, conversation, Christmas joy, Christmas music, and beyond helpful friendly staff were OUTSTANDING!! 

 

Christmas Bell Chime Concert in Wilbur, WA

 

In October, Heather signed up to be part of the Bell/Chime Christmas Concert with her friends Michol and Emily.  She attended 3 of the 4 practices.  One of them she missed because she was sick.  The concert was on December 7, 2025 at 5:00pm.

'There is a bridge connecting Heaven and Earth. It is called the Rainbow Bridge because of its many colors. Just this side of the Rainbow Bridge there is a land of meadows, hills and valleys with lush green grass.

When a beloved pet dies, the pet goes to this place. There is always food and water and warm spring weather. All the animals who have been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.

The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind. They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. Her bright eyes are intent; her eager body begins to quiver. Suddenly she begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, her legs carrying her faster and faster. You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross the Rainbow Bridge together, never again to be separated.'

Bella Boo misses you so much that she keeps your baby with her and protects it.  Give your Grandma lots of hugs and kisses.  We are all not the same without you.
