This morning after Candice got off work we decided that it would be nice to take her out to Breakfast. It's funny...but, Heather and I knew the perfect place...
We arrived at about 8am and sat in a different location. We had a different waitress helping us and she helped guide us through our menu options. Again, she was super friendly and happy. Amazing! We were wondering whats in the water to make this place SO different?...
Candice ordered 2 pancakes, 2 eggs scrambled with cheddar cheese, and 2 bacon strips as well as sweet tea with lemon to drink. Both Heather and I ordered the same item from the menu. We had the Farm House Breakfast Bowl with potatoes, cheddar cheese, country sausage gravy, ham, bacon, and scrambled eggs. In addition, we both opted for the biscuit rather than toast since the waitress the other night had told us they were amazing and homemade.
Everything was beyond perfect, again. Candy's pancakes had just a hint of vanilla, her eggs were light and fluffy (just the way she likes them) and her bacon was perfectly cooked not burnt at all. Our breakfast bowls were both very hearty and filled with ham and bacon. The gravy was truly out of this world! And the biscuits? I'm drooling thinking about how light, fluffy and oh so yummy they were. Obviously, they were made fresh and homemade.
Our first impressions were confirmed. We have found the only restaurant we will go to for the next 18 days. It's a shame we have to relocate and lose such a gem. After searching for a year in this area, this is the only place we would give 5 stars to and we can only hope other places will read this review and make some changes for the better.
The Front Porch Restaurant and Pie Shop lacks nothing. It is a Fantastic Southern Style Restaurant with a Friendly Staff and Great Food. I only hope that there will be a place we love as much in Cuenca.
