Happy Father's Day to My Wonderful Husband

Dan,

This has been a hard couple of years. I was with you during most of the custody fight, the cross country hunt for your beautiful and sweet daughters, all the long road trips to Colorado/Georgia, talking to private investigators, and then repossession men. I watched the fun and interaction of the Skype visits with Emma and Danielle. It was cute when that told you they loved and missed you. We were even able to record some of those visits. It will be a nice time capsule item to add to the girls trucks. One day they will be able to look back at those videos, all the documents, and baby pictures with you spending time with them.

Maria's judgement day will come. One day she will have to answer to both of your daughters and God for her actions. I would imagine their is a spot in hell waiting for her.

You have taken the high and classy road and I'm proud of you. You have proven time and time again that you love your daughters with all your heart.

She has not to this day and likely will never follow court orders or do what is in the best interest of your girls.

Every time you see little girls I can see your heart breaking and I know not a day passes that you don't think about the girls. Just know that your not alone and that my heart breaks with yours.

Emma and Danielle may not be my biological daughters but, they are my Step-Daughters and Mama's Step-Grand Daughters. They would have an amazing life with us and I hope they both come across this blog and see that our home is their home and they can always call us and/or live with us.

Happy 6th Birthday, Emma Doll !!!

Happy 6th Birthday, Emma Doll ! We are really hoping that your having a Fun Birthday. Have you been having fun playing in all the snow you have been getting up in New Jersey? Heather and I watched the movie Frozen about a month ago. I really liked Olaf, he was so silly and funny. When Heather visited Disney for Christmas they decorated the park like the movie Frozen. I hope someday that you, your sister, Heather and me can spend time together and see some fun things like Frozen Disney. I really miss you and I'm so sad that I can't spend time with you. I love you and your sister, so much. I'm going to try to call you later the afternoon or evening. I hope your mom lets me talk to you. I miss you so very much. Stay Warm and Have a Happy Birthday, Emma Doll !!!

Update: Emma Doll, I tried calling you a few minutes ago. Your mom's ( Maria Elena Bowen or Maria Elena Olivar ) phone number has been disconnected and she has not notified me of the changed number. Court orders state that your mom has to notify me of any contact info changes. In addition, I notified her of a health concern and she was court ordered to inform me of you and your sisters test results. This is beyond unfair to you and your sister. I am a good father and Heather and I want you Emma Erin Bowen and Danielle Maria Bowen in our lives. We are here for you 24 hours a day. 7 days a week, and 365 days a year. Please know that I want you both to contact me if you ever need anything or you just want to talk. We will always have room for you in our home. Wait, it is your home as well. Your both my daughters and WE love you very much.

About Our Blog

Our blog is about a lot of things. Our daily lives, our move to Ecuador, and the vacations we plan to have. Please read and follow our travels through life. We welcome comments! Making friends along the way would also be great. People have described us as being colorful and animated. Our family looks at a glass and always considers it to be half full. We have an easy going attitude. We think things should get accomplished and that in the process you can still have fun. Feel free to come along on our families journey.

The Bowen Knot - Shamrock Rating System

One Shamrock: This indicates the worst service possible. If awarded, it means we would never EVER use the service again. If it was a food establishment the food was barely editable. This means a complete fail with little to no redeeming features. We will never go there ever again.

Two Shamrocks: This is a service that we might consider using again to give it a second chance. But, the experience that we had would normally cause us to award one shamrock if not for some key redeeming features. If it was a food establishment the food was okay, but still sub-par. We didn't like the food. Serious room for improvement exists.

Three Shamrocks: Normal middle of the road service. We might have had some bad or some good but they were offset somewhat. This is service we would use again but we will look for a better provider. If it was a food establishment the food was good. We like it and will return. There might be room for things to get better but it is still a decent meal.

Four Shamrocks: Great service. This is a definitive repeat for us. We like a lot about the service and recommend it. If it was a food establishment the food was excellent. We liked it a lot. We like the place enough to return frequently. There are very few detractors.

Five Shamrocks: Outstanding service. This is service that treats us above and beyond what we think we deserve. We consider this what we would want to find all the time and what we hope all service providers would want to obtain. If it was a food establishment the food was perfect. No issues whatsoever. We loved it and would eat there everyday.
