Bootleg DVD's, the “Hippie” Market, “Green Peppers” Cul Burgers, and FurBabies (Photo Heavy Post)

Sorry for all the Blog Posts We are Attempting to get Caught Up!  This one catches us up!!! :-D

We revisited the Mercado and purchased some more tomatoes, honey, coffee, and some Easter brown sugar type candy with nuts. Then Nancy, Moria, Dan, and I sat outside on the bench and talked for a while.   As we were sitting there a man walked by and asked us if we wanted to purchase Fast and the Furious 7 on DVD in English for $1.00. Bootleg copies are all over the place and they cost either $0.50 or $1.00.

From there we walked to the “Hippie” Market. It was fun to look at all the handmade bracelets, coin purses, cross body Ecuadorian bags, and lots of handmade Tagua Palm nut items. Dan and I really liked a few different items. We have to keep reminding ourselves that we now live here and that we don't have to shop like a tourist. With that said, I did still purchase three necklaces for $1.00 each and then the cart owner engraved us a Cuenca, Ecuador 2015 keepsake. That was fun and amazing to see him create this great gift. This will be a must stop place for anyone who comes to visit us :-)

On the way back to the hotel, we decided to stop in to “Green Peppers” Cul Burgers a new restaurant to get a bite to eat. We each had a burger with fries and a drink. It was overpriced and barely average tasting.

The FurBabies are relaxing and getting used to their new temporary home in Cuenca.
