El Centro, Flower Market, More Tastes, Supermaxi, and Santuario Mariano in Cuenca (Part 2) *Photo Heavy Post*

Here is Part 2 of Our Catch-Up/Random Life in Cuenca Pictures and Details!!!

The Bowen Knot family have found an apartment to rent in Cuenca. We are so happy with what we found and the all inclusive prices. Here are some photos from the roof top. We will post inside photos once the exiting tenant vacates and we get unpacked. We rented furnished and we opted to have Jenny the landlord remove the sofa set so we can put our new 3 piece set in the living room. We are buying new mattresses tomorrow. If all goes as planned we will be able to move in on the 18th of this month.

Here is our apartments listing/ad:
3 BR, 2 bath, fully furnished apartment for rent.  Modern, fully furnished apartment with lots of sunlight in the living room. Short or long term rental. Las Puertas del Sol area near supermarkets, organic food coop, banks, pharmacy, on bus line. Convenient to El Centro. Small apartment building with stairs. Safe area. Rent includes utilities, wifi and direct TV. Ready from April 20. Furnished, $490 negotiable. Small pet is OK.

Here is our mini office setup in the kitchen area of our temporary apartment at Hotel Boutique Los Balcones. It is a nice place to stay however we are looking forward to our own apartment. The location is perfect and the food at the hotel is yummy.

One night, we all enjoyed “Tipico Cuencano” which is An Andean Combination with Pork Loin, Llapingacho, mote pillo, empanadas, and encebollado at the hotel's restaurant "Sole Mio."

We are loving all the DVD's we are able to find...Most are available in Spanish. However, Dan found a great little shop that has many in English and they only cost us 4 for $5.00. He knows I'm a big Fifty Shades of Grey fan and found it in English <3 Here are the 4 most recent DVD's:

Left Behind

Fast and the Furious 7
(replaces the 1st copy we bought...It was in Spanish)

The Hobbit

Fifty Shades of Grey
Walking around El Centro in Cuenca with our friend Nancy checking out the Flower Market Venders, Santuario Mariano Church, and street venders.

Nancy, Mama, and I enjoyed some Lunch and Dessert at Tutto Freddo in El Centro. I have been wanting to go here since way before Christmas. I was not disappointed :-)

Yesterday, Dan and I revisited JD's Muebles in Cuenca to pay for a beautiful and high quality 3-piece living room set that we picked out. If your looking for quality items and great prices check with them. They are located at Calle Larga 1-213 y Miguel Angel Estrella in Cuenca, Ecuador or give them a call at 099 075 7186. Then we walked down the hill to take a look at the river, caught a taxi cab to SuperMaxi, had lunch at “Chill & Grill Fusion Food” near McDonalds, and then went into SuperMaxi to check put prices and products. Half way through the store we were asked to stop taking photos. If you are curious about items and prices leave a comment and next time we go in we will take a look for you.

Hopefully, we can stay caught up with updates and photos :-)
